Boeing awarded contract to Bharat Electronics Limited (BEL) in 2011 to manufacture components for the F/A18 E/F Super Hornet and the P-8I maritime reconnaissance aircraft. Components for the F/A-18 includes a stowage panel for the Joint Helmet Mounted Cueing System connector cable and an avionics cooling system fan test switch panel with a Night Vision Imaging System-compatible floodlight assembly. For the P-8I, BEL produces the Identification Friend or Foe interrogators and Data Link II communications systems. BEL is also partnering Boeing at the Analysis and Experimentation Centre in Bangalore since 2009. Boeing has now awarded to BEL a follow-on contract for the manufacture of sub-assemblies for the Boeing F/A 18E/F Super Hornet combat aircraft which include Ground Power Panel, Helmet Vehicle Interface Stowage and Switch assembly and Cockpit Console Panels.
