Air Chief to visit Bangladesh

Air Chief Marshal NAK Browne, Chief of the Air Staff, leaves New Delhi on a four day visit to Bangladesh tomorrow.

During this defence cooperation visit to reinforce defence ties, the Air Chief would call on the President of Republic of Bangladesh, Mr Zillur Rahman and the Prime Minister & Defence Minister, Begum Sheikh Hasina Wajed.

The visit would also see him meet, the three service chiefs, General Md Abdul Mubeen, Chief of the Army Staff (CAS), Air Marshal SM Ziaur Rahman, Chief of the Air Staff (COAS) and Vice Admiral Zahir Uddin Ahmed, Chief of the Naval Staff (CNS),to discuss a wide range of bilateral issues on the ongoing defence cooperation between the two countries and outline further areas of defence co-operation as a part of broader military engagements.

The Air Chief, besides visiting the Army, Air and Naval Headquarters, would also visit the Military Institute of Science and Technology (MIST) located at Dhaka.
