Eurosatory is the leading international land and air-land Defence and Security exhibition where you can really find exhibitors and visitors from all over the world. In 2012, the event was attended by more than 150 official delegations from 87 countries all in search of concrete solutions.

Eurosatory is definitely a key step in industry commercial development on an international scale.

Regarding the official delegations, all the continents were represented, not only the Western countries (57 ODs) but also emerging countries (Asia: 27 ODs – South America: 11 ODs) and developing countries (Africa: 15 ODs), to use conventional designations.

With the attendance of 684 journalists and 3.589 visitors from the top management levels, the exhibition clearly attracted a high-level worldwide audience.

In 2012, Exhibitor numbers have increased of 9.3%. 53 countries and International Organisations (UE – NATO) were represented. More than 50% of exhibiting companies chairmen or CEOs attended the show. 450 new products were officially presented for the first time in an exhibition. All these data contributed to consolidate Eurosatory as the world’s reference.

We are taking steps to go further in 2014. The entire offering is presented in each industry and in each sector, be it low-cost trusted solutions or the most recent and most expensive innovations. Edition after edition, the number of exhibitors has been consistently on the rise. Eurosatory is definitely a key step in industry commercial development on an international scale.

For the moment, the marketing of the exhibition is going very well. Over 87% of the surface area has already been sold and 924 exhibitors are registered, but it is still early days to draw any conclusions. As for the visitors, we will not be able to assess a possible growth in that respect until the show has closed the doors on Friday, 20 June 2014. However, we are naturally doing everything we can to promote the exhibition to both exhibitors and visitors, be it by attending international tradeshows, sending out targeted newsletters, securing extensive coverage in the specialised international press, and expanding into professional social networks. We do not aim to boost visitor numbers at all costs, but to ensure that the event is attended by high-calibre, professional people.

Eurosatory develops new concepts and opportunities, as much for exhibitors-seller as for visitors-buyers. As organisers, we also compare the various offers available in our business. Our presence at over 38 regional trade fairs and major international exhibitions like Defexpohelp us scrutinise technology developments and exhibiting conditions. This strategy allows us to have a full knowledge of the global land and air-land defence and security market. Our surveys also give us the opportunity to contact all the sectors that are under-represented in worldwide tradeshows and to target new industry areas.  These global events and analyses reinforce our decision to maintain and develop the exhibition Security section, which is today actually linked to the Defence domain. More than 60% of Eurosatory exhibitors have a dual activity in defence and security. In the latter, Eurosatory attracts products and systems on display used by official Security Forces (Police, Civil Security, Emergency service units, Customs,…) and also the private sector (protection of hotels, stadiums, mine extraction sites, railways, public transportation, sensitive industrial sites, museums and cultural venues, etc.). These permanent innovations truly enable us to remain leader in the Defence and Security domains.

Featuring 6m² fully-fitted stands, this area is an opportunity to discover the exhibition assets at the lowest cost.

We are also continuing to strengthen the air-land component and stepping up efforts with respect to UAVs/UGVs, light aircraft, helicopters and the supply chain dedicated to this field. Today, Air-land products presented during the show include:

  • Helicopters and light aircraft from Army Aviation and Security Forces
  • MALE UAV, tactical, mini-UAS, UAS WASP, VTOL (73 systems exhibited in 2012)
  • Air-Defence: Long/Medium/SHORAD/V- Shored Air-Defence systems, Man pad, Surveillance radar and mast, C-RAM, Missiles, guns and ammunitions, Target drones
  • Airborne Equipment: parachuting, and air delivery materiel and systems, clothing, helmets, masks, visors, night goggles, navigation systems
  • Pods: Rocket launchers, guns, chain guns, jamming, electro-optical devices.

As a result, keeping in mind our will to help SMEs enjoy a high visibility, we have created 2 new technology clusters: “Civil Security and Emergency Response” and “Critical Infrastructure and Sensitive Facilities Protection”. These clusters will be added to the existing ones, including “CBRNe”, “Training and Simulation”, “Measurements, tests and testing centres” and “Embedded electronics”. To help visitors organise their visit, we also provide “Themed-visit flyers” focused on each of the above topics. Therefore, if visitors would like to meet all companies exhibiting in a specific field, they can use our dedicated flyers or the mobile phone application we will deploy for them.

Eurosatory 2014 adapts to the global economy and encourages new Exhibitors, especially among the SMEs: For the first time at the show, a “DiscoveryVillage”, will be put in place, specifically designed to help SMEs have a greater visibility. Featuring 6m² fully-fitted stands, this area is an opportunity to discover the exhibition assets at the lowest cost. We are also developing National Pavilions. Those already opened in 2012 (Pakistan, South Korea, Indonesia, and UAE) as well as new ones to come as Japan.

With the services “Do Business with” conferences or “One to one Business meetings”, we support SMEs to have contact with primes. One to one business meetings are organised by the CCI de Paris (Chamber of Trade and Industry of Paris) supported by a European network of 27 countries.  All the meetings are pre-organised according to offers and needs of the exhibitors. “Do Business with” is a conferencewhere prime contractors present their sourcing policies to potential subcontractors and their methods of working with suppliers.

In the same idea to help SMEs to realize International business we offer them strategic services such as a “strategy consulting” service, a “Think Tank” area… The idea is to help these very small, small and medium-size companies develop abroad either by obtaining geopolitical data about their target export countries, or by meeting with recognized geographic experts who can provide guidance in terms of market opening, nation’s needs for their products, and any specific steps that may be required. Eurosatory offers exhibitors a first meeting free of charge so that they can do some groundwork, and they are then free to contact the organisations again after the event.

We are convinced that many Defexpo exhibitors and visitors may gain interest in attending Eurosatory 2014 next June to exhibit or complete their information on international D&S novelties and products.

Eurosatory is located at Defexpo booth 12.12.1.
