PHOTONIS Technologies, SAS, a multi-national high technology group specializing in photo sensor and electron amplification technologies, announced that it will formally rename its Industry-Science-Medical business division. The new business division is now known as Scientific Detectors, in order to more closely align with key customer applications.
The Scientific Detectors business unit encompasses the applications of mass spectrometry, high energy physics, space exploration, scientific research, and industrial applications. This newly renamed business unit focuses exclusively on photon, electron and ion detection and amplification technologies that enable new discoveries that enhance our understanding of our health, our environment and our universe.
PHOTONIS’ President and CEO Goossen Boers commented, “PHOTONIS has a long history of supporting innovations and achievements in the science, physics and space communities. Many of our patents and award-winning products are a result of specially-created detectors for this community and this name change reflects our dedication to this important market.”
PHOTONIS’ new Scientific Detectors business unit includes products from all five of PHOTONIS’ global manufacturing facilities to bring a cohesive focus on application solutions to non-defense markets.
