The prime mandate of Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) is to design, develop and lead to production state-of-the-art sensors, weapon systems, platforms and allied equipment for our Defence Services.
A number of products and technologies have been developed as spin-off, which are also beneficial with regard to industrial and public welfare, in addition to the national security.

DRDO is doing good. We are trying to close gap against indigenous arms production and against importation. Truely speaking we have to work very hard. We have to fulfil our defence requirement indigenously. At the same time we have to keep pace with other leading defence manufacturers. If we lag behind, then our enemies may get supply from other leading manufacturers and may threaten us. So we have to produce highest quality items.
The DRDO can not make decent rifle and thus make aloe vera jel,pickles and such rubbish.
