Short Seminar on UAV Landing Gear Development by Mr. Sujit Pant

Short Seminar Series of 30 minutes each on topical aerospace technologies organized by Genser Aerospace, at the just concluded Aero India 2013 was a runaway success. Not only the topics (Wireless IFE streamed into personal devices, Polarizing Windows, Internet in the sky, Virtual Manufacturing enterprise,  Active Control Stick for flight simulators, Virtual Aircraft Design, RFID applications in aerospace, Flight Data Monitoring, Aerodynamic corrections, UAV landing gear design) but the cabin environ, complete with aisle emergency path marking systems and signage from STG aerospace of UK, created for the seminar at the stall, was well appreciated by the professionals and aerospace enthusiasts alike. Presentations were made by Mr. Sujit Pant, Director Strategies, an aerospace veteran of decades in aircraft/aero engine manufacturing & MRO, and by Mr. Arunakar Mishra, MD& CEO.

Genser, which completes 16 years today, has been delivering aerospace engineering services across design-manufacturing-aviation to its clients globally. A clear focus, flexibility to offer niche services and agility with which it is able to  reorient to the needs of the clients quickly ,has helped Genser garner global aerospace leaders like Curtiss Wright , Hamilton Sundstrand ( now UTAS), Liebherr Aerospace , LORD Corporation ,Pratt & Whitney(Canada), UTC Power as well as Indian lead organizations (DRDO,HAL, NAL) as its Customers. Genser has also rendered consulting to Indian Industrial Giants like Tatas, Mahindra, Bharat Forge, BEML as also to the Government bodies like UKTI (Govt. of UK) and State of Victoria (Australia).

Mr. Arunakar Mishra stated that Genser’s participation at Aero India 2013 was very satisfying with following highlights:

  • Liebherr Aerospace reaffirming its commitment till 2015 for manufacture of planetary actuator gears for Airbus A320 for 250+ ship sets per annum. Genser has so far delivered 250 ship sets of planetary actuator using an Indian supply chain especially developed by Genser to meet stringent manufacturing and quality requirements of the Liebherr parts.
  • Genser signed agreement with MAINtag( France) for RFID applications in Aerospace.
  • Keen interest evinced by ADA/NAL team and HALBIT on Active Control & G-seat implementation in Training Simulators and by ADE/CVRDE team in development of UAV landing gears. Genser has ongoing work-sharing contract with Stirling Dynamics( UK) to offer services in these areas.
  • Jet Airways team’s interest to implement wireless IFE in their B-737 aircrafts.
  • Good response to “Prize for passion in aerospace” – a survey to elicit views on desired shape of Indian Aerospace in next twenty years
